G.I.N.G.E.R.s Rock!

It goes without saying that we take great pride in watching our members train hard in the pool and then supporting each other and encouraging each other when competing. It also goes without saying that we take great pride when all of that training and commitment manifests in some awesome performances at events.

Our young members are of course, not just swimmers. We also take a pride when they excel in other areas as they very often do.
It takes a lot of courage to stand up on the blocks at the start, ready to pour every ounce of effort into a single race. It must take even more courage to stand on a red dot and give a talk.....to camera.....for 7 whole minutes ..... and then to have that talk made available to the world.
Well, young Jude Williams, who regularly represents LASC at galas, did just that at a recent TEDx Youth event in Derry/Londonderry. Not only did he have the courage to stand there in front of the camera but the content of what he said, and the ingenious and self-deprecating way he put that message across made us all just stand up and applaud after watching.
Exceptionally well done young Master Williams. I now aspire to be G.I.N.G.E.R. Check out this link below!
